Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19

As of Tuesday, August 4, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 34,356 total tests. Of these cases, 31,215 have come back negative. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,141. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 27 cases to report. Of those cases:

The 3116th case is a 20-year-old male from Deptford.
The 3117th case is a 20-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3118th case is a 57-year-old female from Paulsboro.
The 3119th case is a 27-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3120th case is a 21-year-old male from Glassboro.
The 3121st case is a 19-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 3122nd case is an 82-year-old male from National Park.
The 3123rd case is a 63-year-old male from Woodbury Heights.
The 3124th case is a 28-year-old male from Deptford.
The 3125th case is a 54-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3126th case is a 46-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3127th case is a 37-year-old female from Paulsboro.
The 3128th case is an 18-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 3129th case is a 33-year-old male form Washington Twp.
The 3130th case is a 21-year-old female from Harrison Twp.
The 3131st case is a 19-year-old female from Elk.
The 3132nd case is a 21-year-old male from Harrison Twp.
The 3133rd case is an 18-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 3134th case is a 17-year-old female from Logan.
The 3135th case is a 62-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3136th case is a 20-year-old male from Woodbury Heights.
The 3137th case is a 22-year-old male from Deptford.
The 3138th case is a 16-year-old male from Deptford.
The 3139th case is a 57-year-old female from Paulsboro.
The 3140th case is a 51-year-old male from Woodbury.
The 3141st case is a 48-year-old female from Woodbury.

Gloucester County has 202 COVID-19 related deaths. The 202nd patient death was a 92-year-old male from Woodbury.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care.Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
