Glassboro Homicide Investigation/Arrest Notification
On Thursday, October 1st, the Glassboro Police Department was dispatched to 104 Somerset Road, Glassboro for a report of an unconscious female. Upon arrival, officers discovered Sarah Wilson, age 76, deceased inside the residence. An autopsy conducted by the Gloucester County Medical Examiner’sOffice identified the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the chest according to a press release from the Gloucester County Prosecutors office. Investigation by the GlassboroPolice Department and the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office into Sarah Wilson’s death led to the arrest of her husband Stanley Wilson, age 78 of the same address for Murder, 2C:11-3A(1). Stanley Wilson was processed and detained in the Salem County Correctional Facility pending further court proceedings. Despite the charge, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of their rights as guaranteed by the U.S.Constitution and State Law.
