ELIZABETH A. BRILES – Obituary
Elizabeth A. Briles (nee Quigg) age 81, a long-time resident of Franklinville, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 22, 2025.
Born on February 9, 1944, Elizabeth was the beloved daughter of the late William and Alice Quigg. A 1961 graduate of Overbrook (NJ) High School, Betty, as she was known to many, had a long and dedicated career. In the early days of Medicare, she worked in the billing department of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. She later pursued her passion for business, proudly owning and operating the Triple Oaks Card and Gift Shop in Franklinville.
Betty was a devoted member of her community and faith, serving as a 50-year member of Nativity, now St. Michael the Archangel Parish. She was her family’s biggest fan, taking great joy in watching her children and grandchildren play sports. A passionate and loyal supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies, she tremendously enjoyed the Eagles’ two recent Super Bowl wins.
Elizabeth was the cherished wife of Robert Briles, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage, having wed on May 20, 1967. She was the loving mother of four children: Robert and his wife Michelle, Kevin and his wife Kimberley, Timothy and his wife Kristy, and Kristine and her husband Sean. She was also the proud and doting grandmother of Elizabeth, Kevin Jr., Jacob, Robert, Shannon, Kacey, Patrick, and Conor.
