EDITH ANNA CAMP – Obituary
Edith Anna Camp (nee Langley) of Pittsgrove, New Jersey, was called home to heaven on Monday, December 1, 2025, after a brief stay at Inspira Medical Center in Elmer.
Born on November 6, 1924, having reached the age of 101, she was the heart that held together multiple generations of her large, close-knit family.
Wife of 65 years to the late Louis R. Camp. Mother of Barbara Lou Price (Joseph), with whom she most recently resided, the late Marion Smith (Donald), and the late Kenneth Camp (Frann). Known lovingly as “Grammie” or “Grams” and deeply cherished by her nine grandchildren: Stacey Kopchick, Kristy Decicco, Bonnie Scull, Jeff Smith, Kevin Smith, Megan Langley, Joey Price, Janet Dileonardo, and Jon Price.
She will also be greatly missed by her 21 great-grandchildren: Donato, Mia, Dario, Kyleigh, Kaitlin, Leah, Laura, Billy, Nicholas, Garrett, Riley, Quinton, Charlotte, Kathryn, Lauren, Emmy, Gracie, Caleb, Drew, Hayden, and Lane, as well as her two great-great-grandchildren, Sydney and Reagan.
Daughter of the late Thomas and Emily (nee Parker) Langley. Sister of Nora McDonald, Rose Ramsey, and the late William Langley, James Langley, Ellwood Langley, Doris Papiano, Pauline Taylor, and Bernice Cecil.
Edith attended Vineland High School and was a longtime resident of Pittsgrove and Pitman, New Jersey. She was a devoted member of Porchtown Methodist Church in Porchtown and Mount Zion Methodist Church in Barnsboro, and a member of the Red Hat Society, also known as the “Red Hatters”.
Her life revolved around her family, beginning with her marriage and the raising of her children, and eventually becoming the matriarch of this very large, extended family. She relished their phone and video calls, as they shared details of their adventures, exciting accomplishments, and daily events. Edith loved watching the Hallmark Channel and cherished lunch outings with her sisters.
The family recalls that she never raised her voice to anyone, but a swipe of her finger clearly conveyed her displeasure. “101 years were still not enough. Your memory is a keepsake with which we will never part. God has you in his keeping, but you are forever in our hearts.”
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312. Funeral service at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Porchtown United Methodist Cemetery in Franklin Township. Sign the guestbook and send condolences at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
