DANA MARIE FRYE – Obituary

Dana Marie Frye (1959–2025)

A unique and creative person, Dana lived a very memorable life.  She left this world too soon and unexpectedly at the age of 65.  She was born to John and Joan Reilly in Camden, NJ on December 17, 1959 in the middle of  a snowstorm (very appropriately).

She married Harry K. Frye in 1987, very shortly after he was commissioned to build an addition on her house and they remained married for 38 years, until her death.  They raised 5 children and built a successful business together, where they spent almost 20 years educating many of the children within Gloucester County.  Dana was always very proud of starting this business from the ground up and becoming trained and certified in nursery school operations. She enjoyed this period of her life immensely.

Many of the successes within her life were due to the fact that she was a dreamer and if she could imagine it, it became a reality.  Her most recent accomplishment was becoming a published author.  She also took much pride and dedication in caring for her mother on a daily basis.

She loved holidays, dancing and listening to music, calling into B101, her Clearview community and girl pack, the EAGLES, chocolate ice cream, grand gestures, General Hospital, being a grandmother, and Wildwood.

She had a way with words and funny one-liners and made us laugh even when it wasn’t intentional.  She was so lively, that it’s hard to believe that she is no longer with us.

Dana was predeceased in death by her father, John D. Reilly, and her aunt Agnes Reilly.  She is survived by her mother, Joan E. Reilly, husband Harry K. Frye, children: Kristin Manogue (Joseph Boyle), Erin Manogue, Harry Frye Jr., Victor Frye, Nadia Frye, granddaughters, Margaux and Geneva Boyle, sister, Kelly Simmons (Curt), nephew and niece, Jillian and Sean Simmons, and family in Missouri.

To keep Dana’s memory and spirit alive, please consider reading her book, “Murphy’s Law with a Side of Serendipity”, available at https://www.amazon.com/dp/1966565224.
