ANN MARIE ‘NANCI’ TRADER – Obituary
Ann Marie “Nanci” Trader
March 29, 1956 – June 20, 2025
Ann Marie Trader, lovingly known as Nanci, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, surrounded by family and love. Born on March 29, 1956, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she was the cherished daughter of John and Ann Labas. Nanci moved to Millville, New Jersey, in her early childhood, where she built a life grounded in love, tradition, and compassion.
In 1977, Nanci married the love of her life, Milton E. Trader, and together they shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Known for her warmth, selflessness, and unforgettable holiday recipes, Nanci filled every room she entered with light and laughter. She had a talent for decorating and an eye for beauty, especially around the holidays when her home glowed with warmth and tradition. Nanci found joy in simple pleasures—especially shopping trips with her beloved cousins Elizabeth, Mary Ann, and Anne. Her love for family extended far and wide, and she made every relative and friend feel deeply valued.
Before her longtime role in retail, Nanci served as a teacher’s aide at Notre Dame School (formerly Our Lady of Victories) for many years. Fondly known by the students as “Miss Nanci,” she brought warmth, patience, and kindness to every classroom she entered, leaving a lasting impression on generations of students.
She later spent over 20 years working at Sears in Vineland as a trusted and friendly appliance sales representative, earning the loyalty of countless customers with her smile and compassion. In more recent years, she worked part-time at Lowe’s in Turnersville, where she once again touched many lives—both customers and coworkers—with her exceptional customer service and kind, uplifting spirit. Nanci is survived by her devoted husband, Milton E. Trader; her brother, John Labas; her daughter, Jessica; her grandson, Danny, and his wife, Mazie. She also leaves behind many beloved relatives and friends whose lives she touched deeply.
Nanci’s legacy lives on in every lovingly prepared meal, every carefully chosen decoration, and in the hearts of all who had the joy of knowing her. Services will be private and limited to the immediate family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and immediate family, friends, and co-workers will be asked to join us when details are finalized.
