WILLIAM ‘BILLY’ LEWIS MOORE, JR. – Obituary
William “Billy” Lewis Moore, Jr., 75 years of Franklinville NJ passed away on February 19, 2025 after a recent illness. He was a beloved husband of 38 years to his beautiful wife Joann R. Moore (Finnimore). Billy was a devoted father of 4 children, William Moore Jr., Kenny Moore, Christopher Moore (deceased) and James Mayhugh (Mamie) and his 2 fur babies Bella and Bo Moore. He worked as a truck driver for many years with Zeisloft, a deckhand at Great Lakes Dredge and Dock for 5 years and retired from Channel Marine Construction as a crane operator.
Billy was raised on a farm and loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, billiards, a good home-cooked meal, or cooking a great meal for his family and friends.
Billy was a part of a large family of 8 children. His surviving siblings are Donna Bartley, Deborah Tutela, Denise Dixon, Doug Moore (Tricia), grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents William Moore Sr. and Ethel Hammond, sister Darlene Hauser, sister Dawn Singelakis, brother James Moore and son Christopher Moore. Billy will be missed by his loving family and friends.
Military funeral honors will be held promptly at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ.
