WILLIAM ‘BILL’ EUGENE YACOB – Obituary

William “Bill” Eugene Yacob on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.  Age 81.  Husband of 58 years to Rose Elizabeth Yacob (nee Catalano).  Father of Joanne F. Yacob.  Grandfather of Bruce William Patterson.  Great-grandfather of Sydney and Olivia Patterson.  Uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Son of the late George & Alice Yacob.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Bill has been a resident of Clayton since 1968.  He was a graduate of Jules E. Mastbaum High School in Philadelphia and proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War.  Bill worked as a typesetter for many years with various business until his retirement in 2008.  He was a devout and active member of Saint Catherine of Siena RC Church in Clayton as well as the Knights of Columbus Council 6890.  Bill was also devoted to his wife Rose and drove her to church every day, even when he was sick.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, November 30, 2018, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312.  Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 49 W.
