WAYNE E. MANTON- Obituary

WAYNE E. MANTON – Obituary Wayne E. Manton, 66, passed away on January 21st, 2025, in Houlton, Maine. Born on September 13th, 1958, in Elmer, New Jersey, he was the son of Ted and Dolores (Wiatt) Manton. Wayne worked with his father at Manton and Son, and owned Westford Hill Construction. He enjoyed campfires and day trips. He moved his family to Houlton in 2002, continuing to build his business in Houlton and the surrounding area. He was proud of his craftsmanship and the many clients he helped to build their dreams. His legacy lies in the many homes he built over the years in New Jersey, Houlton, and surrounding areas. He was very proud of his accomplishments and the clients’ gratitude to him.

Wayne is survived by his father, Ted, of Franklinville, NJ; significant other Becky Clark-Crooker of Linneus; daughter Nicole Manton Williams and her husband Luke of Virginia; step-granddaughter Alexis Smith of Deer Isle; sister Cheryl Capozzi (Joseph) of Littleton; nephews Christopher Capozzi (April Neher) of Houlton and their children Amelia and Joseph; Joshua Capozzi (Liz) of Ludlow; and close aunt Marian Sherman of Franklinville, NJ.
He was predeceased by his wife Nancy, her son Rob Smith, his mother, and a great-nephew, Hoyt. Per Wayne’s request, there will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. To share condolences, visit www.bowersfuneral.com.
