WANDA SARAH VASSARAS – Obituary
Wanda “Wanbontoonboon” Sarah Vassaras (nee Frye) of Woodstown, NJ, on July 17, 2024. Age 66. Wife of 37 years to Michael J. Vassaras. Loving mother of Rachel Barr (Andrew Barr), Michael Vassaras (Xavia Liles), and Holly Vassaras (Ricardo Velez). Adoring grandmother to Brianna Holmes, Earl Dunne, Amariah Frye, and Jacob Graham. Caring great-grandmother of Messiah Holmes. Sister of Samuel Frye (Kathy), Harry Frye (Dana), Mark Frye (Susan), Keith Frye, Bryan Frye (Alicia), Paul Frye (Sandra), and Shelia Frye-Virani (Aslam). Daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret (nee Corson) Frye.
Wanda was born in Cambridge, Maryland, and raised in Franklinville, NJ. She resided in Woodstown, NJ, for thirty years. Wanda attended Delsea Regional High School and was a part of the 1977 class.
Wanda loved to spend time with her family, especially her great-grandchild, Messiah. Wanda would host a card night at their home, and they would often play poker. When she wasn’t spending time with her family, she loved to go shopping, her favorite store being Walmarts. She enjoyed getting her nails done, going out to eat, and playing the slots at the casino. Her favorite show was I Love Lucy, but she enjoyed watching the soap operas The Young and The Restless and The Bold and The Beautiful as well. Going for a drive without a specific location in mind was another thing Wanda enjoyed doing. She loved the beach, and Ocean City was always her favorite.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312.
