VICTOR HALL – Obituary
Victor Hall, age 67, of Vineland, passed away on Wednesday afternoon April 26, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Kenneth M. and Malvery Mary (neeGilbert) Hall.Victor attended Delsea Regional High School and was a member of the high school’s weightlifting team. During his senior year of high school, he began a lifelong career working with glass. He was trained then worked as a precision glass grinder making specialty scientific glass. His craftsmanship was well known and his greatest work was used at Walter Reed Medical Center and aboard the Space Shuttle. He began his career at National Glass in Newfield and after 10 years he took a position at Kontes Glass in Vineland; a job he held for over thirty years.
He loved his children and was active in coaching their little league teams, as well as taking an active role in the PTA at Janier Elementary School in Franklinville. Victor loved to go bowling and he was a member of the L.S. Riggins Bowling Team at Pike Lanes. He was a dancer and enjoyed listening to oldies music and dancing at “Oldies Night” at the Adelphia restaurant in Deptford where he was given the nickname “Iced Tea Victor.”
He is survived by two sons, George H. Hall and his wife Joanna of Upper Darby, PA and Stephen C. Hall and his fiancé Cassie of Vineland and their mother Carol A. Jaggers, grandchildren, Tzeitel Hall and Logan Wood, siblings, Kenneth M. Hall of Carneys Point, Rodger I. Hall of Centerton and Julia “Judy” Hoolahan and her husband Ronald of Newfield and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles A. Hall, in 1987, and three sisters, Betty Wagner, Ruth Ann Magnan and Joyce Hall.
Realtives and friends are invited to attend Victor’s funeral service on Tuesday morning May 2nd at 11 o’clock at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce Street in Bridgeton. The interment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery, Newfield. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday evening May 1st between 6 and 8 pm and again on Tuesday morning between 10 and 11 am.
