TWO UH60 BLACKHAWK HELICOPTERS LAND AT DELSEA REGIONAL
On Monday, October 18th, two UH60 Blackhawk helicopters from the New Jersey Army National Guard landed on the practice fields behind the High/Middle School at around 9AM. They shut down for about 30 minutes. A small group of teachers and administrators boarded both the helicopters that took off together and headed to the Philadelphia area. They will return this morning back to Delsea between 11 am and 11:30am. This event was part of the school districts JROTC program.
Today’s flight was part of the New Jersey Army National Guard’s “Educate The Educator” program. This program is designed to enlighten local educators about the Army National Guard, its state and federal mission, its high-tech equipment, the educational benefits of service in the Army National Guard, and most importantly, the men and women who serve our state and our nation in the Army National Guard. The flight was coordinated by the JROTC Instructors at Delsea Regional HS with the New Jersey Army National Guard’s Recruiting Command and its local Recruiting/School Liaison NCOs. Special thanks to SSG Amelia Gonzalez, NJ ARNG Recruiting Command and SSG Fredric Hyman, New Jersey Army National Guard Aviation Liaison NCO.
