GLASSBORO, NJ – Tickets go on sale Friday, November 2 for legendary vocalist Art Garfunkel’s concert scheduled for March 16, 2019 as part of the university’s Marie Rader Presenting Series. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased online at rowan.tix.com or by calling 856-256-4545. The concert takes place in Pfleeger Concert Hall on the university’s Glassboro campus. The award-winning voice of a generation will take his audience on a musical journey through a career spanning more than 60 years. Garfunkel’s signature vocal style is among the most recognizable in the history of popular music, from his earliest efforts as a teenager in the 1950s to his success as part of the seminal pop duo, Simon & Garfunkel, and through a notable solo career that continues to this day. Winner of six Grammy Awards and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he has earned acclaim as an actor, poet, and author. The series, supported through a fund established in 2008 by friends of the late arts advocate Marie Rader, offers performing arts programming to engage and enrich the cultural life of the Rowan community and beyond. Donations and proceeds from events help bring world-renowned artists (such as previous headliners Tony Bennett and Kristin Chenoweth) to campus, while nurturing educational opportunities as well as faculty and student performances. For additional information prior to the on-sale date, please call the box office at 856-256-4545 or emailarts@rowan.edu.
