STEVEN JOSEPH POLILLO – Obituary

Steven Joseph Polillo, 60, of Franklinville, NJ passed away suddenly of natural causes on March 14, 2021. Steven was the Loving Father of Lisa Polillo (his Dear), Son of Louis Polillo Sr. and Constance M. (Nee’) Kane and Brother of Louis Polillo Jr. (Carol), Luann Innamorato, Mark Polillo (Susan), Gineane Dahlman (Mike), Rita Panzino (Shirley), Christina Scott (Stan), Angela Sajtlava (Mark), and Danielle Alberti (Jason). Known as Uncle Steve to many nieces and nephews. Steven was pre-deceased by his mother Constance, his brother Mark, and his partner Carla Rice. Steven was born in Cherry Hill on August 6, 1960. He was a lifelong resident of Franklinville. Steven started working at a young age for his father in the family business of construction and general contracting. He mastered various trades and skill sets, including bricklaying, masonry and carpentry. He demonstrated immense skill and pride in his work. His attention to detail was unmatched. He was one of the finest finish carpenters in South Jersey. Even to this day, many home owners are able to appreciate his work. Steven had a talent for auto mechanics, as well. In fact, he could build or repair just about anything with patience and ease. Day or night, he was that person everyone could call upon for any kind of help or favor and he would show up with a smile on his face never expecting anything in return. Steven was exceptional with respect to his storytelling and his quick wit. He always offered a laugh to those in need of some cheer. Steven was a lover of music, especially the Blues. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time in Maine and Canada. He was also known for his green thumb when gardening time came around. He loved animals with a passion. Steven’s enthusiasm for all variations of life was undeniable. He took care of any and all of God’s creatures that needed him. Steven was an old soul with a kind and gentle spirit. He was funny, humble, quiet, loveable and accepting to all. He was a believer in Jesus. Family and friends meant the world to him. Steven will be greatly missed by all who were truly blessed to know and love him. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested that donations can be sent to any animal shelter of your choice in Steven’s memory.
