SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH
Franklin Township
On Friday, December 24th, 2021 at approximately 1:20PM, Franklin Township Police Department was dispatched to the intersection of Main Road and Weymouth Road for a motor vehicle crash. Upon police arrival, it was determined three vehicles were involved and one subject was unconscious from the collision. Preliminary investigation determined a 21-year-old male from Franklinville was operating a Nissan Altima which was stopped in the eastbound lane of Weymouth Road at the intersection. The 21-year-old male proceeded straight into the intersection colliding with a Toyota Camry which was being operated by a 72 year old female from Newfield who was driving north on Main Road. As a result of this collision one of the vehicles struck a Chevy Silverado being operated by a 27-year-old male from Hammonton who was stopped in the westbound lane of Weymouth Road at the intersection. As a result of this collision the 72-year-old female was transported to Cooper Hospital by Gloucester County EMS. The 21-year-old male was air lifted by Cooper One and transported to Cooper Hospital for serious injuries, where he is listed in critical condition. Assisting at the scene were Forest Grove Fire Company, Newfield Fire Company, Gloucester County EMS, Inspira Paramedics and Cooper One. This motor vehicle crash is being investigated by Officer N. Tabler of the Franklin Township Police Department.
