SENIOR GOLD PRESCRIPTION DISCOUNT PROGRAM

The Senior Gold Prescription Discount Program, also known as Senior Gold, is a state-funded prescription program that assists eligible New Jersey senior residents in paying for certain prescribed drugs, insulin and insulin supplies. The Senior Gold Prescription Discount Program can help to lessen the out-of-pocket expenses associated with participation in Medicare Part D.  Any Medicare-eligible Senior Gold recipient must be an active participant in a Medicare Part D plan.  Eligibility for the Senior Gold program includes the following:

• • • Applicant must be a New Jersey resident.
    • Applicant must be 65 years of age or older or 18 years of age or older and receiving Social Security Title II Disability benefits.
    • Annual income for applicants for 2017 is between $26,655 and $36,655 if you are single or between $32,680 and $42,680 if you are married.
