RODGER HALL- Obituary
On Saturday, November 16, 2024 Rodger Hall of Pittsgrove, NJ passed away suddenly at Inspira Hospital of Elmer at the age of 72. Born on February 3, 1952, Rodger was one of eight children. He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Mary (Gilbert) Hall; his infant sister, Judy; sisters, Ruthann Hall-Magnan, Joyce Hall-Jamieson, Betty Hall-Wagner and her husband William Wagner; brothers, Clifford Hall and Victor Hall; nephews, Charles Hall and Robert Wagner and his brother in law, Ronald Hoolahan, Sr. Rodger attended school in Franklin Township residing in Iona and was a member of the Delsea Regional Class of 1971. He was an employee at Schalick Mills in Elmer for 44 years until his retirement. He was employed as a truck driver and mechanic on all trucks, autos and machinery in the mill. Whatever it was that stopped running he fixed it. During his employment he went to school at Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee and then specialized in small engine repair at Schalick where he was well known for his work. He also taught small engine repair in the adult education program at Schalick High School. Rodger enjoyed working in his garage, maintaining the family vehicles and doing yardwork. He was an avid bowler and bowled in a league. He enjoyed family dinners and barbecues where it was expected he would always revisit the food table for seconds and thirds not to mention the desserts. Rodger is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Hall and Rebecca Hall-Markert; two grandsons Michael Markert, Jr. and Donald “DJ” Palm, III; sister, Julia Hall-Hoolahan, and his former wife and best friend, Denise Jaggers-Hall. He is also survived by a long list of nieces and nephews and their families. A funeral home visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30th from 11am to 1pm followed by a funeral service at 1pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.
