It is with broken hearts that the family of Robert W. Reider, III (“Bobby”), age 23, of Vineland, NJ, announce his death on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Cooper Hospital Trauma Center in Camden, NJ following an accident two weeks earlier while he was responding to a fire call. He suffered severe head and internal injuries that eventually took his life.
Bobby was born on September 27, 2002 in Voorhees, NJ. He attended Vineland public schools during his elementary years and graduated in 2021 from Delsea Regional High School in Franklinville, NJ.
Bobby was a Volunteer Firefighter at the Malaga Fire Company in Malaga, NJ. He loved being a volunteer fireman more than anything. That was all he wanted to do since he was a little boy. For Halloween, most of the time he chose to be a Fireman. Bobby joined the fire department at the age of 16. He loved being with the fire department and enjoyed being with everyone who volunteered there. During his years with the fire company, Bobby received a medal for Gallantry and a medal for Valor . He was very dedicated to the fire department.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the Malaga Fire Company for their exemplary display of true Brotherhood. They never left Bobby’s side from the beginning of this tragedy to his final ride. Bobby truly loved being a part of the Malaga Fire Company. May God truly bless you all and keep you all safe.
The family also wishes to extend recognition to the teams of doctors and nurses at Cooper Hospital Trauma Center, Camden, NJ for all their support and care for Bobby during the last two weeks of his life. They tried the best they could to try to help save Bobby, but his injuries were just too severe. They are all an amazing group of people.
Bobby is survived by his loving parents, Lisa (nee Annise) Reider and Robert W. Reider, Jr. (“Bob”) of Vineland, NJ, and his beloved dog, Lucy. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Nancy Reider-Zuvich (Tony), Williamstown, NJ; Annette Lancellotti (Butch), Vineland, NJ; Linda Hendricks (Mark), Malaga, NJ; Pastor Felix Annise (Lisa), Franklinville, NJ, and many cousins who will miss him so much. Bobby’s time with us was far too short. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His passing has left a huge hole in all of our hearts that will never be filled.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bobby’s viewing on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Clayton Baptist Church, 110 South Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ . A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM at the church, followed by interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Road, Vineland, NJ. Church parking: Park in the Acme parking lot across the street from the Church.
