ROBERT HAROLD BOLLERMAN, JR. – Obituary
Robert Harold Bollerman Jr., age 73, passed away on January 23, 2025, in Millville, NJ. Born August 21, 1951, to Robert H. and Doris Ruth (nee Rosenberger) Bollerman, Bob was raised in Island Heights, NJ, with his younger sister Bethanne Cousins. As a teen, he played the bass guitar in a rock band and the stand-up bass in a marching band, later using his talents to play with the mummers and in church worship bands.
Bob worked many jobs but took the most pride in becoming a police officer in the Boro of Clayton, where he worked for 25 years. He loved being a cop, and he loved the brothers and sisters in blue that he worked with. His love for NASCAR took him and his wife all over the United States. The relationships he made while at the tracks carried him through to the end.
For 20+ years, Bob walked with Christ and led many people to find salvation in Jesus. He was known to share with anyone he could, from the students at Clayton High School while he was a resource officer to the doctors and nurses treating him during his cancer journey. After retirement, Bob spent his “free” time driving buses and volunteering in many ministries at Victory Assembly of God.
Monday morning breakfast at Elmer Diner with the guys was a highlight of his week. From chasing hot air balloons to working in the kitchen at Mission Teens, Bob loved his life and the people he met through it.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Ella Bollerman; his children, Michell and Scott Merker, Robert and Kristin Bollerman, Stephanie and Howard Joynes, Eric Bollerman, Raquel Bollerman, and Brianna Zeilman; step-son John (Eddie) Molino; and his fur baby, Sam. He is also survived by his grandchildren and nephew, who brought a special joy to his life. Bob had a special place in his heart for all the young people he mentored, prayed for, and spent time with over the years.
Bob will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Victory Assembly of God, 258 Landis Avenue, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
