ROBERT EUGENE PELIKAN, SR. – Obituary
Robert Eugene Pelikan, Sr. on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Age 91. Husband of the late Florence Ida Pelikan (nee Edwards). Father of the late Ida Mae James and the late Robert E. Pelikan, Jr. Grandfather of P.J. James, Peggy Diaz, Joey Diaz, and the late Robert “Bobby” Pelikan, III. Great-grandfather of 4. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters and his friend Edna Goldy. Son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (nee Neider) Pelikan, Sr.
Born in Garfield, NJ and raised in Elmer where he lived for many years, Robert has been a resident of Franklinville since 1972. He worked as a truck driver for the Farmers Co-Op in Norma for 34 years and then 8 years with Jake Coleman in Aldine before his retirement in 1995. Robert loved gardening and working in his yard and liked to work on lawnmowers. He read his bible every day and loved his family very much.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, April 8, 2021, from 11 AM to 12 noon at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, followed by a funeral service at 12 noon at the funeral home.
