ROADWORK TO BEGIN MARCH 30TH THROUGHOUT GLOUC COUNTY

Road work will begin Monday, March 30 throughout Gloucester County
The County of Gloucester will be starting multiple paving projects across the county this week.
The road work scheduled to begin March 26 has been rescheduled due to inclement weather. Updates to the projects have been communicated below.
“Right now, people are doing their part to help flatten the curve and staying indoors to self-isolate,” Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said. “Thanks to our resident’s compliance and cooperation, we’re taking this time to do some much needed paving work on our County roads.”
The Gloucester County Highway Department will begin it’s resurfacing projects at 7 PM and end at 5:30 AM at the following locations on the following dates:

  *   Lambs Road – U.S. 322 to Pitman Barnsboro Road/W. Holly Avenue beginning Monday, March 30.  Anticipating two days of work, weather permitting. Areas affected Borough of Pitman, Mantua and Harrison Twps.   *   Mantua Paulsboro Road – Edwards Run Road to the Turnpike Overpass beginning Wednesday, April 1. Anticipating two days of work, weather permitting. Areas affected Townships of Mantua, West Deptford, East Greenwich and Harrison.   *   Davidson Road- Russell Mill Road to 2,600 ft. west of the Intersection beginning Friday, April 3, 2020. Anticipating one day of work, weather permitting. Areas affected Township of Woolwich.
The roadway will be detoured but will allow traffic to flow in one direction throughout the length of the project. The detour will be posted by the contractor. Residents shall have access to their driveways at all times.
“We are taking proactive measures to maintain our roadways,” said Freeholder Liaison Heather Simmons. “We’re very grateful to our residents for abiding by social distancing and taking measures to protect our community from COVID-19 spread.”
All road work crew will abide by social distancing regulations set by the CDC.
All road work is weather permitting and subject to change based on the forecast.
