Ray is survived and will be dearly missed by his fiancé Kelly Skermont, his daughters Crystal (CJ), Bridalyn, and Desarae, former spouse Sheryl Voit, Kelly’s children Dylan, Kylie, and Samuel, and his grandchildren Carson, Raelyn, and Levi.

Ray was predeceased by his mother Arlene and father Donald, Sr.

He will be forever loved and missed by his sister Donna Cavallaro (Giuseppe), brothers Donald Dempsey (Lisa), Christopher Dempsey (Lisa), his stepfather Michael Petulla, his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Christina, Adam, Ross, Gavin, Becca, Paulena and Rebecca, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ray graduated from Delsea Regional High School in 1983 and was a star athlete on their champion Track and Cross Country team as a long distance runner. After graduation, Ray attended Pennco Tech and began pursuing his passion with a career in Auto Mechanics. Ray was a hardworking, dedicated employee of Pepboys for 25 years and had recently moved his significant talents to Mr. Tire in Woodbury, NJ, while also running his own business, RD’s Auto, on the weekends.

Ray loved classic muscle cars and was an avid motorcyclist. He was happiest with a gas pedal under his foot or a throttle in his hand. He loved going to the beach, especially for bike week, and was always looking forward to his next trip to New Orleans. He was always down for an eating competition and of course he always won. Ray was definitely an outdoorsman, as he loved to hunt and do all types of physical activities. He was a lover of all animals, especially his own. The highlight of his day was being greeted by his 3 dogs, Cooper, Nola, and Brees, and had a special affection for his pet pig, Gertie.

Ray had a huge warm heart and was always the goofiest guy in the room with a booming voice and a big grin on his face. Ray could spark up a conversation with any person he met. He was a very genuine guy who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was devoted to his family and the people he loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
