NOTICE OF INTRODUCTION ORDINANCE 26-2024 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SALARIES, WAGES AND COMPENSATION TO BE PAID THE VARIOUS OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE BOROUGH OF CLAYTON, COUNTY OF GLOUCESTER AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY TAKE NOTE that the foregoing ordinance was introduced at a meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Clayton held on October 10, 2024 and was then read for the first time. The said ordinance will be further considered for final passage by the Mayor and Council at the Municipal Building, 125 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton, New Jersey, at a meeting beginning 6:30 p.m. on October 24, 2024, at which time and place, or any time and place to which such meeting be adjourned, all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning such ordinance. BOROUGH OF CLAYTON ORDINANCE 26-2024 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SALARIES, WAGES AND COMPENSATION TO BE PAID THE VARIOUS OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE BOROUGH OF CLAYTON, COUNTY OF GLOUCESTER AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Clayton, County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey as follows: 1) That the Salaries, Wages and Compensation of the various officers and employees of the Borough of Clayton are hereby fixed at the following rates and amounts: SALARY RANGES Assistant Tax/Utility Collector $45,000 – $75,000 2) All full-time employees working a minimum of thirty-five (35) hours per week and not covered by a collective bargaining agreement will upon retirement, be limited to a maximum payout for accumulated banked sick of $15,000. This applies to employees who are receiving the full-time annual sick accrual of 96 hrs. per year as of September 30, 2024. Any full-time employees hired, promoted or transferred into a position that would receive the full-time annual sick accrual of 96 hrs. per year, beginning October 1, 2024, will upon retirement, be limited to a maximum payout of $.00. 3) The said Salaries, Wages and Compensation listed above shall be paid heretofore; and shall be paid in the manner and at the time decided upon by the Mayor and Council. ORDINANCE 27-2024 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE EXISTING PERSONNEL POLICY AND PROCEDURES MANUAL, AMENDING THE SICK POLICY IN THE BOROUGH OF CLAYTON (PERSONNEL, BOROUGH) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Clayton, County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey that the Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual, of the Code of the Borough of Clayton is hereby amended, as per the attached Sick Policy incorporated herein and made a part of this Ordinance. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon final passage and publication as required by law.
