On Sunday, October 23rd the people of historic St. Joseph’s Polish Church, located at 10th and Liberty Streets in Camden, NJ will mark the 130th anniversary of its founding. The celebration will begin with a procession to the Church at 9:50 AM followed by a bilingual Mass at 10 AM highlighting Polish and Polish American music, customs and traditions that have been celebrated at St. Joseph’s Polish Church during the last 130 years. This is a very special and historic time as the Polish American community marks the 414th Anniversary of the first Polish settlers that arrived in America at Jamestown, Virginia in October 1608. Over the years, there have been many waves of Polish immigration across America. Historic St. Joseph’s Church in South Camden was founded by Polish immigrants in 1892 and serves all people from New Jersey and surrounding areas and we invite everyone to come celebrate this special anniversary with us.
