PEDESTRIAN MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH

On Thursday, November 3rd at around 7:45PM, Franklin Township Police responded to the 100 block of W. Arctic Avenue in Buena Borough for a pedestrian motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, police discovered an 84-year-old male, George Movitis of Buena Borough had been struck by a vehicle while walking on W. Arctic Avenue. Movitis was transported to Inspira Vineland Hospital for his bodily injuries. His injuries were non-life threatening and he is in stable condition.
The driver of the vehicle that struck Movitis continued on until he struck a tree at the corner of S.West Avenue and W. Arctic Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Alexander Coronado-Grullen age 37 from Minotola in Buena Borough. Coronado-Grullen was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). He was additional charged with Assault by Auto and released on a summons. He was also issued multiple motor vehicle summonses. Assisting on the scene was Minotola Fire Department and Buena EMS.
