Nina Arleen Gaglianone (nee Doughty) on September 14, 2024, in Camden, NJ. Age 82. She was the beloved wife of James J. Gaglianone, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Nina is survived by their two children: J. Gregory (Ellen) Gaglianone and Judith (William) Cirucci. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Nina (Matthew) Wilson, William Cirucci, Amy Gaglianone, Anna Gaglianone, Abigail Gaglianone, and Ava Gaglianone. Her dear sister, Carole Anne (Bill) Lehman, and many nieces and nephews also survive her. Daughter of the late Harry and Clara (nee Conover) Doughty.
Nina was a proud graduate of Clayton High School, Class of 1960, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Glassboro State College in 1964. Her dedication to education was evident in her years of service as an Elementary Teacher at Lake School in Franklin Township along with her volunteer work as a Sunday School Teacher at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Clayton.
Nina was raised in Clayton, where she lived for 46 years before moving to Buckshutem for 28 years. For the past five years she resided in Franklin Township’s “Lake Section.” Nina was actively involved in her community through memberships in the Jaycees, Sinawik, and the Red Hats “Buena Belles.” She found joy in Bible Study with friends and family and treasured family trips and annual visits to Sea Isle with her best friend Janet and her family. Nina also enjoyed working at Doughty’s, the family furniture store, with Carole, Betty, Aunt Della, Cathy, Sue, Diane, and Bonnie. The frequent furniture shows she attended with Carole and Bill were always a highlight and fodder for many stories for years to come.
Nina’s love for entertaining was well-known; she delighted in preparing delicious meals and beautifully decorating her immaculate home. She especially enjoyed traveling with her sister and brother-in-law in her golden years to Italy and Alaska, and to the Caribbean with Janet and Joe. Above all, she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, each of whom she loved deeply.
Nina Arleen Gaglianone will be remembered for her boundless love, unwavering dedication to her family, and the warmth she brought into the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched and the enduring legacy she leaves behind.
