Nicholas Connor Gritz on Friday, August 6, 2021. Age 23. Son of Joseph K. & Yolanda C. Gritz, Jr. of Mullica Hill, Elk Township. Brother of Joseph Gritz, III (fiancé Danielle Melchiorre) of Clayton and the late Zachary Ryan Gritz. Grandson of the late Barbara Pickering and the late Gladys & Joseph K. Gritz, Sr. Godson of Thomas and Deborah Pickering. Well-loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and the love of his life, Marla Hughes. Loved and never to be forgotten.
Born in Washington Township and raised in Franklinville, Nick was a resident of Mullica Hill, Elk Township for the past 4 years. He was a 2017 graduate of Delsea Regional High School and earned an Associates Degree of Science in Business Administration from RCGC in 2019 with plans to continue at Rowan University this September. Nick worked as an Associate at Target in Sewell for the last 4 years.
Nick was renowned for his collections of Vans shoes in nearly every color and style possible. He set up his room as his own little apartment and decorated it with many of his favorite Funko Pops, a hobby he shared with his brother Joe, covering the walls with his carefully cultivated selection of Star Wars and online-game posters. Nick was the family movie critic who always knew the best movies to watch. In addition to being a devout Star Wars geek, he was a video game pro who went by the PlayStation Network profile of Sir_Snaxalot and enjoyed online gaming with his friends. Nick was adventurous. He loved Disney World and other amusement parks, especially the roller coasters, and loved trying out new things and new places such as parasailing, jet-skiing, restaurants, clubs, and beaches. Nick loved his music and always wanted to share it with those around him. Chocolate labs Gunner and Raider were Nick’s babies who he loved and cared for from day one. Nick was a strong-willed young man, an adamant Republican, and a true President Trump supporter. Most of all, he loved spending his time with Marla (the love of his life), his brother Joe, sister-to-be Danielle, close friends, and family.
