Naomi Cornelia Steigerwalt (nee Ecker) of Malaga on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Age 81, Wife of 62 years to Albert F. Steigerwalt, Jr. Mother of Albert Steigerwalt, III (Sharon) of Franklin Township, Donna Patane (Angelo) of Franklin Township, and Otto Steigerwalt (Roxanne) of Vineland. Grandmother of Angela Dunn (Phillip), Megan Steigerwalt (Jeremy, fiancé), Gino Patane, Steven Steigerwalt (Adriana), and Brianna Steigerwalt. Great-grandmother of Noelle Dunn. Sister of Joseph Ecker, Jr. and the late Frances Hahan. Daughter-in-law of Margaret Steigerwalt. Daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (nee Remley) Ecker.
Born and raised in Philadelphia until 1951 when she moved to Franklinville, Naomi has been a resident of Malaga for the past 59 years. She was a 1958 graduate of Clayton High School and worked at Nichol’s Luncheonette in Franklinville from age 15 until she got married. Later, Naomi worked for 30 years as a bus driver for Delsea Regional High School.
Together with her husband Albert, Naomi was a member of the Woodbury Poly Pros, a vacation club for retirees of Shell Chemical, taking many memorial vacations to places like the Grand Canyon, Riviera Maya, and Punta Cana. She liked nature and animals, especially her three cats (Rosie, Thomas, and Higgins) and her three birds (Snickers, Bonnie, and Clyde). Naomi was artistic and enjoyed painting as well as other arts and crafts. She loved decorating for the holidays and was always the life of the party.
