MARY ANN COX – Obituary

Mary Ann Cox (nee Earley) of Franklinville on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Age 78. Wife of the late Edward Basil Cox. Mother of Robert Wilson Hamilton, IV (wife Yan). Grandmother of Brian Hamilton, Kendra Carter, Vivian Hamilton, and Annabella Hamilton. Great-grandmother of Brian Hamilton, Ivy Hamilton, Genni Carter, Giovanni Carter, and Givin Carter. Sister of the late Alice Earley and Bob Earley. Daughter of the late John Henry & Anna Alphretta (nee Sheer) Earley.

Born in Camden and raised in Pitman, Mary has been a resident of Franklinville since 1972. She worked as a lab technician at Ekco Products in Clayton for several years before becoming a school bus driver for the Franklin Township Board of Education which she did for 26 years until her retirement in 2009. In her 30’s, Mary played on a ladies softball team and was on the all-star team for several years. She also enjoyed rollerblading. Mary was a member of the Franklinville VFW Ladies Auxiliary and liked to travel, following her son where he was stationed in the military.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312 followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
