MABEL M. CHADWICK – Obituary

 Mabel M.Chadwick (nee Trautz), age 92, of Williamstown went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2018. Mabel was born on October 16, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA to Harold and Mabel Trautz.  She married her beloved husband, Leon, 73 years ago in Elkton, MD on December 11, 1944. A breast cancer survivor, and a woman of constant faith, dignity and integrity, she never failed to do what she could to help others.   Mabel’s greatest joys were cooking, baking biscuits, sewing and singing in the church choir.  Her greatest attribute was the unwavering support she gave her husband during his sales career.  She was a Sunday School teacher at Emmanuel Reformed Episcopal Church in Philadelphia and volunteered for Cancer Group making dressings.  Rev. John Koch was instrumental in leading Mabel to become baptized in the Methodist faith in Williamstown.

Beloved wife of Leon E. Chadwick.  Devoted mother of Mabel M. Chadwick, Elaine M. Morris (William) and the late Leon E. Chadwick, III.  Loving grandmother of William and Theresa.  Dear sister of Doris Palmer (the late William).  She was predeceased by her brothers Harold, Ernest, Wayne, Walter, and Donald Trautz and her sister Jane Unger.  She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, November 15th from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Cross Keys United Methodist Church, 1644 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Keys United Methodist Church Youth Group, 1644 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ 08094.
