Obituary of Linda S Brescia Linda Sue Brescia (Woody), 71, of Franklinville, NJ left us suddenly and unexpectedly on June 16, 2022. Linda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was genuine, forthright and straightforward with every person and situation. People knew they could go to her and she would lend a thoughtful ear and offer advice or comfort. She happily stayed at home to raise her three children. While her children were young she was involved in the Delsea Knight Football League, PTA, and Delsea High School Football club. Linda was always more than willing to jump in and lend a hand to anyone in need. She continued her involvement in their activities even as she returned to work at a nursing home; where she compassionately cared for her elderly patients. She then began working for the Franklin Township and Delsea Regional School Districts as an aide until her retirement in 2016. Her infectious personality and the supportive way she cared for all of her students has left a lasting impression on their lives. Linda adored her family and most especially her grandchildren. She was happiest anytime she was surrounded by “her babies.” They will continue to be inspired and comforted by stories of their loving Mom-Mom. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy will live on in our cherished memories. She was born to the late Marion and Eula (Hannce) Woody on April 2, 1951 in Haywood, NC, the youngest of twelve children. Her family eventually relocated to Elmer, NJ and she graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1971. She married the late Peter Paul Brescia Jr in 1975, and they lived together in Franklinville, NJ. Linda is survived by three children, daughter Sharon Brescia Hunsinger (husband Mark Hunsinger); daughter Gina Brescia Reyes (husband Carlos Reyes); and her son Peter Brescia III (wife Heather (Murray) Brescia). She also leaves behind ten adoring grandchildren, Taylor, Ali, Brooke, Wayne “Michael”, Carlos, Logan, Jayden, Peter IV, Dominic, and Olivia. Linda was predeceased by her loving husband in 2001. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, Harold Woody, Lester Woody, and Donald Woody, along with many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, June 23rd at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S Lincoln Ave, Vineland, NJ 08361. Burial will be private.
