KHARA MICHELLE MURPHY – Obituary

Khara Michelle Murphy, age 41, passed away on October 6, 2024, in Camden, NJ. She was the cherished daughter of Michael Anthony (Ruth) Murphy and the late Kathy Sue (nee Harrington) Murphy. Khara is survived by her beloved daughter, Kyley Marie Murphy; her brother, Michael A. Murphy, Jr.; and her sister, Tina Murphy. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephew: AJ, Jina, and Lily, and her cousins: Jillian, Paul, Jennifer, Jackson, Adam, Ryan, and Ashley. Khara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Born on August 17, 1983, in Woodbury, NJ, Khara spent most of her life in Franklinville. She was a proud graduate of Delsea High School, Class of 2001. Following her passion for beauty, she attended Empire Beauty School for Hair and Makeup in Blackwood, NJ, and later pursued further education at Camden County College.

Khara dedicated her career to helping others, working as a counselor and in food service at Maryville and various rehabilitation centers. Her commitment to service reflected her nurturing spirit and compassionate heart.

An active member of Gloucester County 4-H for a decade, Khara delighted in showing her rabbits, which she lovingly raised in her barn as a child. She had a profound love for arts and crafts, particularly scrapbooking and creating photo books that captured cherished memories. Khara also enjoyed music and television shows, often finding joy and comfort in her favorite pastimes. Her talent for making Christmas decorations brought happiness to many, as she generously shared her creativity with family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312 with a service beginning at 11:00 AM.
