Kevin John Mackey of Clayton on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Age 62. Survived by his ex-wives Dawn Mackey and Diane Mackey; stepchildren Courtney Schaeffer, Tracy Doll (Ed), Jimmy Derer, and Greg Derer (Sherri); and step-grandchildren Tara Doll, Eddie Doll, Joey Doll, Alyssa Doll, Shaymus Derer, Payton Derer, Justin Derer, and Lily Derer. Predeceased by his parents Stewart J. and Joan (nee Strausbaugh) Mackey.
Born and raised in Philadelphia where he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1978, Kevin was a resident of Sewell from 1991 to 2006 and most recently of Clayton. He worked for Martin’s Potato Rolls as a delivery driver in South Jersey for 11 years and then was the owner of Primo Pizza in Washington Township for 5 years. Kevin later worked for two years as a Habbersett delivery driver before becoming a sales rep for Bimbo Bakeries Entenmann’s in Mays Landing where he has worked for the past 20 years.
Kevin loved to play the guitar and had a collection of several acoustic, electric, and bass guitars. He was a huge fan of The Beatles as evidenced by the shrine to them he had created. Kevin loved muscle cars, especially his 1974 Corvette, as well as his Dodge Ram truck. He enjoyed going to the gym and spending time with family and friends, especially in the summer. Kevin loved to travel and take cruises and loved all dogs, especially Shepherds and Boxers, and will surely be missed by his two dogs, Stan and Roxanne.
