Kelly Ann Miller, age 64, on Monday, August 10, 2026. Born on August 5, 1962, in Millville, New Jersey, she was the beloved daughter of Penelope Jenny (nee Weiss) Tevis and the late Baron Lee Jones. Kelly was born and raised in Millville and remained a longtime resident there before moving to Elk Township nine years ago.
Kelly was a 1980 graduate of Millville High School and carried the values of hard work, loyalty, and family with her throughout her life. For several years she worked as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service in Millville until a mail truck ran over her foot. She later spent about ten years in the meat and deli departments at the Millville ACME, where she also found time to sell Avon products and serve ice cream during the summer at Blinker’s Custard in Millville. Kelly then devoted 25 years of service to Southern State Correctional Facility in Delmont, New Jersey, working in food service until her retirement in September of 2023. In post retirement, she worked at the Dollar Tree in Clayton, which her daughter Melinda was managing. She tackled any task that needed to be done, while primarily working as a cashier and receiving freight until January of 2025, when health concerns made it impossible for her to continue. Kelly truly loved that job for the camaraderie she shared with the staff and Melinda, as well as the many patrons who came through the store.
Kelly was a devoted wife to her husband, Glenn Gordan Miller. They were married for seven years and had shared ten years together before that, building a life marked by love, companionship, and mutual support. She was a proud mother to three children, Melinda Kozlowski and her husband Dick, Holly Stecher and her husband John “Jay,” and Larry Coffman, Jr. and his wife Amanda. She was also a cherished grandmother to five grandchildren, Karla Stecher, Jackson Stecher, Samantha Kozlowski, Christopher Kozlowski, Jr., and Hunter Coffman. Kelly was the sister to, Kristine Boyst and her husband Joe, and the late Kenny Jones. She was also aunt to nephew Bradford Boyst and niece Penelope Boyst.
Kelly was a homebody at heart and found her greatest joy in being surrounded by the people she loved. She was content spending time at home watching television, and she especially treasured the comfort of family gatherings and everyday moments together. She loved music and enjoyed attending live bands throughout the area. She also looked forward to her once-a-week bowling league outing and appreciated an occasional dinner out, often enjoying the chance to try new places. Although she did not travel often, she deeply enjoyed a trip to the Ark Encounter in Kentucky and several visits to Long Beach Island. One of her favorite daily rituals was her Starbucks coffee, which she enjoyed without fail.
In her younger years, Kelly was active and spirited, serving in the Millville High School marching band as a baton twirler and color guard member. She remained a strong, rough-and-tough woman throughout her life and was never afraid of hard work or the outdoors. Kelly was comfortable hunting with a shotgun or bow, and she took pride in cutting and splitting wood and mowing the grass. She especially cherished the recent renovation and addition to her home completed by her son-in-law, Jay, which allowed her mother to move in. She loved the refreshed home and the closeness of having her mother nearby, even though she was only able to enjoy that blessing for a short time.
