Joyce Mary Margaret McCormick (nee King) of Minotola on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Age 74. Wife of 25 years to the late William D. McCormick. Mother of Kimberly A. Rodriguez and Stacy P. Smith (Gary E., Jr.). Grandmother of Gary Smith, Bradley Smith, Jake Smith, Katelyn Smith, Rebecca Smith, James Rodriguez, and Antonio Rodriguez. Sister of Marie Morris, Estelle Zieminski, Dorothy Masosouck, Edward King, Dolores Curtain, George King, and Charles King, Jr. Daughter of the late Charles & Pauline (nee Naveline) King.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Joyce was a 1966 graduate of Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Girls High School in South Philadelphia. She was a resident of Malaga from 1980 to 1996 and worked briefly as a school bus aide and later as a custodian for the Franklin Township Board of Education. Joyce returned to Philadelphia for 10 years and has been living with her daughter Kimberly and a resident of Minotola for the past 6 years.
Joyce loved to spend time with her grandchildren and enjoyed making jewelry and shopping. She was a big fan of the Phillies and the Flyers and loved the beach, especially Ocean City!
