JOSEPH ‘ROSS’ PATTON, JR. – Obituary

        Joseph “Ross” Patton, Jr. died Sunday, April 16, 2017 surrounded by family after losing his battle with cancer.  Husband of 39 years to Ann Marie (nee Williams) Patton.  Father of Christine Lewis (husband Brad), Eric Patton, Jason Patton, and Danielle Gorman (husband Charlie).  Grandfather of Fuller, Abigail, and Caleb.  Son of Helen Agnes (nee Barney) and the late Joseph Ross Patton, Sr.  Brother of Colleen DeSantis, Lindsey Bernat, Kim Miller, Jennifer Pond, and Kevin Patton.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

          Born in Camden and raised in Medford Lakes, Ross was a resident of Clayton for 30+ years.  He was a 1976 graduate of Bishop Eustice High School and proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1977 to 1981 as a mortarman earning the rank of sergeant and enjoyed traveling the world during his service.  Ross worked in Glaziers Union Local 252 for over 15 years and was an apprenticeship instructor for almost 10 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially swimming and going on adventures with his grandchildren.  Ross loved the outdoors, including fishing, boating, and barbecuing and enjoyed collecting coins.                  Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service on Saturday, April 29th beginning promptly at 1 PM at The Orchard Garden at Masso’s Catering, 210 S. Delsea Drive, Glassboro  followed by a celebration of his life at the same location. Arrangements under the direction of Barclay Funeral Home, Clayton.
