Joseph Martin Reynolds, age 65, of Clayton, NJ on April 4, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Elizabeth (née Bachteler) Reynolds, with whom he shared nearly 25 years of marriage after being united on July 8, 2001, in Clayton. Devoted father to Nicole Tursi (Kevin Guardado) of Abington, PA, Jennifer Tursi of Secane, PA, and Megan Bokma (Michael) of Vineland. Proud grandfather to Savannah Bokma and Caden Bokma. Joseph is survived by his siblings: Terri DiFranceisco (Wayne) and James Vincent Reynolds (Lisa), and was predeceased by William “Butch” John Reynolds, Jr., Stephen John Reynolds, and Barbara Reynolds Perez (Bob). He was the son of the late William John and Delores Fern (née Gouldsmith) Reynolds. Joe is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Born on July 11, 1960, in Darby, Pennsylvania, Joe spent his early childhood in Philadelphia before moving to Washington Township, where he was raised. In 1979, Joe graduated from Washington Township High School. He later made his home in Clayton, New Jersey, where he has lived for the past 26 years.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Joe began his career in the plumbing trade through an apprenticeship with UA Plumbers Local 690 in Philadelphia. Over the course of 40 years, he built a respected career as a plumber, contributing to the construction and renovation of many notable projects, including the King of Prussia Mall, numerous restaurants, multiple Wawa locations, and several Philadelphia housing projects. He retired in early 2025 after decades of dedicated work.
Joe had a deep love for music that began in his high school years, where he performed in both the marching band and jazz band, playing brass instruments. He proudly participated in numerous Mummers Parades in Philadelphia, playing the banjo. His passion for music continued throughout his life, especially his appreciation for The Beatles and alternative music. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Joe enjoyed playing guitar and piano and even composed original music. He shared this passion by forming a band with three close friends, often performing at family events.
In addition to music, Joe enjoyed riding his jet ski, freshwater fishing, and building intricate model train displays. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren. Joe and Barbara shared a love for travel and the outdoors, frequently vacationing in Maine at the Thousand Trails Campground and regularly camping at Outdoor World Campground in Ocean View, New Jersey.
Joe will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his craftsmanship, his musical talents, and the joy he brought to those around him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 351 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ 08312. Funeral service to begin at 11:30 AM. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
