Joseph C. Heibel, Sr., 84 years young, died peacefully on April 2, 2023. Formerly of Camden, NJ, he has lived in Franklinville for more than 30 years. Joe worked for Atlantic City Disposal, Cherry Hill Hospital, and retired from Chartwells K12- Williamstown school district, and random jobs in between. He was a proud USCGR Veteran. He is survived by his children, Joseph, Jr., Lori Hopkins (Jimmy), JoAnna Taraborelli (Tony and Joshua), Sean Connor, James Connor, and his baby sister, Cindy (Herb). Predeceased by his wife, Anne “Annie Bones” Heibel, son, John Heibel, and two grandsons John and Dante. Forever connected to the entire Rickenbach family Joe had 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. He has many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was an amazing Father and Grandfather. He was very proud of his Coast Guard career and kept in contact with many of his Coast Guard brothers. He spent his days watching old western movies and his watch could be set by when Jeopardy was on TV. He loved his crossword puzzles and sudoku. He collected trains and all things Coast Guard. Joe was a meticulous record keeper and remembered everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries. Joe will be greatly missed by so many people. His silly jokes and sayings will be remembered for generations. “Pop, we hope that you are sitting on the floor and letting your feet hang down” At the request of the family, services are being held privately.
