JOHN HESS ‘JACK’ MERVINE, III – Obituary

John Hess “Jack” Mervine, III on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.  Age 70.  Husband of 48 years to Jean Mervine (nee Lindsay).  Brother of Gary Mervine (late Denise) of Pennsauken, NJ; Donna Cook (Rusty) of Columbus, MS; Patricia Mervine of Gap, PA; and the late William Mervine (Donna) and Robert Mervine (Mary).  Son of the late John H. and Anna E. (nee Larsen) Mervine.  John is also survived by “Merlyn” the cat and predeceased by Dachshunds “Hans” and “Mercedes”.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Camden, John was a resident of Marlton for 32 years before moving to Clayton 7 years ago.  He was a 1967 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden and later a 1981 graduate of Rutgers University – Camden where he earned a BS in Marketing.  For most of his career, John worked in Industrial Sales for Laman-Loesche Supply Co. in Philadelphia until their closure in 2005 and then briefly as Facilities Manager with Samaritan Hospice before his retirement in 2007.  John liked cars and very much enjoyed the 1969 Corvette that he used to own.  He loved watching sports, especially football and golf, and was an animal lover.
