John Clifford Woodell, Jr. of Clayton on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Age 65. Father of Crystal Sontos (Scott). Grandfather of Alexia, Layla, Landen, and Summer. Son of John C. & Virginia (nee Ianni) Woodell, Sr. Brother of Penny Aspell, Karen Kalnas (Paul), and Carol Easton (Dave). Uncle to Kyle Kalnas, Krista Simmons, Justin Easton, and Kirstin Easton. Best friend of Ted Naphy (Nancy).
Johnny, as he was known to many, was born in Elmer and raised in Franklinville where he was a 1976 graduate of Delsea Regional High School. He has been a resident of Clayton for the past 44 years. Johnny enjoyed fishing and crabbing and loved cruising around on his motorcycle or in his Dodge Ram pickup. He also loved playing video games, especially Zelda, and most of all loved spending time with his grandkids. His family fondly remembers him as a practical joker.
