JOANNE RUTH COSTELLO – Obituary
Joanne Ruth Costello on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Age 62. Mother of Robert J. Carrick, Jr. (Alexis Roeder) of Wenonah and Sean T. Carrick of Glassboro. Significant other to James C. Lindeman of Glassboro. Daughter of John H. and Erma (nee Taylor) Costello. Grandmother of Carter J. Franke. Sister of Dana Sterling and the late Raymond Costello. Also survived by her best friend of 40 years Nancie Kautz and good friend Elsie Tout.
Born in Elmer, Joanne was a lifelong resident of Glassboro and graduated from Glassboro High School in 1976. She worked for 20 years for the Glassboro Board of Education driving a school bus for 18 years and most recently working as Transportation Supervisor. Joanne served for a number of years as the union representative for the Glassboro Education Association. She enjoyed reading and singing karaoke at home or on vacation. Her Saturdays were spent with best friend Nancie going to yard sales or shopping. Joanne loved her annual visits to the flower show with Alexis and Ashlie Roeder to celebrate their birthdays.
Relatives & friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, November 16, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00 AM.
