JOANNE MARIE GABRIEL – Obituary
Joanne Marie Gabriel (nee Lacivita) of Glassboro on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Age 73. Mother of Lisa Marie Gabriel and grandmother of Destiny Marie Bailey, both of Glassboro. Daughter of the late Albert & Mary (nee Gaw) Lacivita. Sister of the late Albert Lacivita, Richie Lacivita, Betty Linder, Evelyn Scannapieco, and Dolores Logan. Ex-wife and friend to the late Larry Gabriel. Survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born and raised in Philadelphia where she was a longtime resident, Joanne lived in Williamstown for 16 years before moving to Glassboro a year ago. She attended Stella Maris Catholic School in Philadelphia. Joanne loved knitting as well as playing bingo and rummy. Her love for playing games evolved to include playing casino and card games on her phone and games on the PlayStation. She was very much an animal lover, liked to cook, and enjoyed plants as evidenced by the many she kept in her apartment. Joanne loved watching old TV shows including The Twilight Zone and old Westerns. Horror movies, Nat-Geo, and Dr. G were also among her favorites. Going to the Dollar Store was one of her favorite outings.
