JoAnn Mary Bracarello of Clayton on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Age 74. Mother of Keri Ann Cowgill and her partner Megan Davis. Grandmother of Danielle Marie Cowgill (fiancé’ Cassandra), Kaiden Ace Cowgill, and Chase Alexander Cowgill. Daughter of the late Joseph Charles Bracarello (late Janice) and the late Dorothy Montgomery (nee Rehm). Sister of Susan Hansen (late Gary); Nancy Hansen; the late Joseph Charles Bracarello, Jr.; the late August Joseph Bracarello; Penny L. Montgomery; Melody Montgomery; and William Montgomery (Cheri). Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Born in Swedesboro, JoAnn was raised initially in Glassboro and later in Williamstown where she graduated from Williamstown High School in 1966. She was a longtime resident of the Bay Area of California before returning to Franklinville in 1998 and has been a resident of Clayton for the past 13 years. JoAnn worked at Wheaton Glass in tubing manufacturing until her move to California. There she worked for many years in security for Macy’s Department Store. Returning to New Jersey, JoAnn worked as a Postal Sorter for USPS in Swedesboro until her retirement.
JoAnn was very athletic in high school playing field hockey and softball. She enjoyed reading and bingo and loved playing board games and cards, especially Canasta and Pinochle, with her family. She loved watching the US Women’s Soccer team and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. Most of all, JoAnn loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
