Jeffrey N. Womack went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12,2024. Jeff, a resident of Elk Township, was born on May 6, 1957 to J. Lee and Kathryn (Betty) Womack. Jeff is predeceased by his parents and his brother John L. Womack, Jr. He was especially close with his cousin Lynda (Womack), her family and her husband, Jimmy Falisi, who was Jeff’s caregiver. He is also survived by several cousins and their children. Jeff’s sense of family extends to his neighbors whom he has known since childhood.
Jeff attended Aura School and graduated from Delsea Regional High School in 1975. After high school, Jeff worked for the Gloucester County Highway Department until he retired.
Jeff loved listening to music and was an avid train collector and drag race enthusiast. One of his fondest memories was having the car that he built, a 1966 Comet Cyclone GT, 390 4 Speed, featured in the September 1982 issue of Super Stock Magazine.
His frequent outings with his best friend, Alex Fanfarillo, included visits to the Liberty Diner and searching for anything with a motor.
He will always be remembered for his amazing wide range ability to recall just about anything in detail.
Compassionate, devoted, and dedicated to his Lord, his family, and friends, we will remember Jeff with so much love. Our hearts are broken but we take comfort knowing Jeff went home to his Lord and his family.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent in memory of Jeff to MD Anderson Cancer Center, PO Box 4486, Houston, TX 77210-4486. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at MD Anderson. All of the care and kindness given to Jeff by his doctors, nurses and technicians at the Cancer Center was truly a blessing for him and our family.
