JANE ANNA WOODRUFF

               Jane Anna Woodruff (nee Nelson) of Clayton on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.  Age 89.  Wife of 39 years to Jack Stanley Woodruff.  Mother of Lynn (Michael, Sr.) Gonnelli (nee Ianni).  Grandmother of Michael Gonnelli, Jr.; Jennifer (Edward) Seeney; and Edward (Heather) Gonnelli.  Great-grandmother of Samuel (Judy) Gonnelli, Joseph Gonnelli, Alyssa Seeney, Jillian Gonnelli, and Natalie Seeney.  Sister of Margaret “Peggy” DeFeo.  Daughter of the late Benjamin Odgen and Sara Ellen (nee Whittendale) Nelson.

              Born in Philadelphia, Jane was a lifelong resident of Clayton.  She was 1945 graduate of Clayton High School, and later earned an associates degree from Gloucester County College in 1981.  Jane worked as a Bell Telephone Operator in Wenonah for 5 years followed by 20 years in the book-keeping department at the Clayton National Bank.  After earning her degree, she did substitute teaching at various schools for 8 years before retiring in 1989.  Jane enjoyed bowling, gardening, taking care of her home, as well as playing pinochle in a card club with friends.  She also enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

                  Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 351 N.
