JAMES VINCENT KEELAN – Obituary

James Vincent Keelan of Franklinville on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.  Age 28.  Son of Roseann Marie Gillen and the late James Michael Keelan.  Brother of Christina Deschler, Gabrielle Keelan (fiancé Evan), Hope Pilling, and the late Christopher Michael Deschler, Jr. Uncle to 6 nieces and 1 nephew.  Also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins including special cousins (more like sisters) Tammy, Allison, Amber, and Savannah.

Born in Voorhees and raised in Vineland, Jimmy has been a resident of Franklinville for the past years.  He was a 2012 graduate of Vineland High School and worked for 10+ years at Wawa eventually becoming a manager.  Jimmy later worked for Danny’s Pizza Pizzazz as a delivery driver and groundsman for all locations.  Most recently, he was a manager for Dollar General.

Jimmy loved spending time with friends and family.  He enjoyed playing donkey kong with his siblings and spent time outside working in the yard and on lawnmowers and cars.  Jimmy could make anyone laugh at the drop of a hat, and he was the king of impersonations!    Jimmy’s love for music began at an early age and he was an old soul who enjoyed music of all decades and genres.  During high school, he participated in talent shows and later played guitar at local wineries. Music was his true passion; he could make music with just about anything including record players, guitars, and harmonicas.  And he was good at it!  Jimmy was always willing to lend a helping hand, and he was a genuinely kind person, always finding the good in everyone. He was the life of the party, always happy and optimistic, a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 8:00 PM.  Sign the guestbook at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
