Human body part found on National Park riverfront
A woman walking a dog along he Delaware River shoreline in National Park, Gloucester County on Sunday, February 26th found part of a human leg that apparently had washed up from the river. Police responding to a report of the discovery described it as the lower part of a leg, from the knee down, with the the foot attached. There was no clothing and no markings on the limb. No other body parts were found. The leg was transported to the Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office where a DNA sample will be collected in an effort to make an identification. The West Deptford Police Department and the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating.
