HEROIN PRODUCTION FACILITY ARREST

Following a four-week investigation by the Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, Shavar L. Harvey age 33 of Williamstown was arrested Tuesday (1/17) on charges of first-degree maintaining a heroin manufacturing facility; third-degree possession of heroin; third-degree distribution of heroin; possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
The arrest was made in connection with execution of a search warrant at Harvey’s residence. In the search, 15 folds of heroin, $456 in U.S. currency, marijuana and various pieces of CDS processing/manufacturing equipment were seized. “Illegal opiates are a scourge in many of our communities,” said Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton. “The work being done by these local and county law enforcement agencies is important in this ongoing fight.”
Assisting in the investigation were the Monroe Township and Winslow Township police departments. Harvey was placed in the Salem County Jail without bail.
