HENRY J. WEBER, JR. – Obituary
Henry J. Weber, Jr., age 89, of Franklinville, passed away Sunday morning, September 12, 2021.
Henry moved to Franklinville from Merchantville when he was 12 years old. When he was in his twenties, he told of looking toward Royal Avenue and falling in love instantly with his then future wife, Charlotte Mathews.
Henry was employed as a Corrections Officer his whole working career. He started at Gloucester County Jail, then Trenton State Prison, and lastly, Leesburg State Prison. He worked in the bakery, dairy, and as a tower guard. He was also the shooting range master for many years. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and being a part-time farmer. Henry was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and shared his passion for shooting sports with his friends and family. He was a member of the Milmay Christian Church.
Henry is predeceased by his parents, Henry Weber, Sr. and Elsie (Reinhardt); wife, Charlotte (Mathews); sister, Lois DuBois of Elmer, and daughter, Anna Fenstermacher of Virginia Beach, VA.
Left to mourn his passing are his daughter, Charlotte Gonzalez of Millville; son, Henry “Hank” Weber (Sandra) of Buena Vista Township; son-in-law Stanley Fenstermacher of Urbana, OH; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
