HARRY PARKS, JR. – Obituary

Harry Parks, Jr. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Age 85. Husband of 43 years to the late Lois Mildred Parks (nee Fleming). Father of Karen (William) Turner, Keith (Nancy) Parks, Doris (Michael) O’Neill, and Shawn (Amanda) Parks. Grandmother of 12 and Great-grandmother of 3. Brother of the late Walter Parks. Son of the late Harry Parks, Sr. Also survived by Eddie, Lance, and Richard, three former co-workers who became very special friends.

Born in Camden and raised in Clayton, Harry was a resident of Glassboro for 23 years and most recently a resident of Sewell since 1993. He was a 1954 graduate of Clayton High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958. Harry worked for Ford Motor Company as a warehouse associate for 32 years until his retirement in 1992 but continued working post-retirement for Allied Barton Universal Security from 1993 until 2016 as security at the Moorestown Mall.

Harry was a die-hard fan of NASCAR racing throughout the years, and back in the 1950s, he traveled up and down the East Coast as a mechanic with a Sportsman Modified Team. He was a big fan of Philly sports teams, especially the Eagles. “F…k Dallas!” Harry liked horse racing and, along with his wife Lois, enjoyed breeding Boxers with “Uno” being his favorite. Together with Lois, he loved to travel including road-trips in the car, several cruises, and going to the islands. He also loved spending time with family.
